Parisa Siddiqui

Parisa Siddiqui is a leading script writer and producer with over 13 years of experience in the media industry in Pakistan and Canada.

She was the Head of Content of one of the most prestigious production houses, A&B Entertainment in Pakistan where she was one of the first woman in a management position. She created many job opportunities for other women in her time there. She expanded the content team to over ten people, where capacity of scripts increased from 2 to 10 productions simultaneously.

She spearheaded over 70 scripts of dramas that aired on various mainstream channels in Pakistan. In her time there, she always tried to push the boundaries to create unique content.

She initiated and supervised the script of the critically acclaimed film, “Manto” along with esteemed writer, Shahid Nadeem. She has written eight original screenplays, some of which include Mera Saeein 2, Judai, Tumhare Hain, Syskiyaan and Mein maa nahi banna chahtee. The topics range from a political saga, to social issues to family drama.

Her entrepreneurial instincts pushed her to start her own company in 2013. Doorway Entertainment became the first writer-led content house, especially established to provide premium quality scripts to clients. The company scaled quickly and created its production and distribution wing as well.


Ahmer Khan

Ahmer Khan is a programming, production and acquisition expert with eighteen years of experience with leading channels in Pakistan. He has worked with the pioneers of the industry, holding high level positions with major networks.

He was part of the core team that launched Pakistan’s first pure drama channel, HUM TV that has been credited with producing premium dramas watched around the world. He has produced numerous local entertainment, lifestyle and format shows.

Ahmer Khan launched the popular channel URDU1, where he was hired as Head of the channel and within two years became Vice President. The channel became the highest rated channel within only 5 months of its launch. He is credited with being the brain behind introducing Turkish shows in Urdu to Pakistan. This trend changed the landscape of Pakistani television at the time. He was also the Executive producer of famous drama serials like, Jackson Heights, Mere humdum Mere dost, Sargoshi, Teri Raah mein rul gayee and Jab we wed.

Ahmer’s drive to constantly challenge market norms motivated him to bring the popular International franchise format show, MasterChef to Pakistan.

His latest venture included transforming Health TV to an entertainment channel. He experimented with Korean shows dubbed in Urdu which proved to be a success.

He is now committed to producing high quality Pakistani content for the global digital markets and bringing global content to Pakistani audiences.
